The Neighborhood House Speakeasy is a private lounge and game room behind a hidden door in the basement of A12, a boutique hotel in downtown Louisville. Here is how to find your way in.
Follow the photos below in order. You will be inside in a couple of minutes.
A12 is a two-story red brick building with limestone trim, on the right side of 1st Street in downtown Louisville. It is directly across the street from the I-65 south Nashville on-ramp.
This is the front of A12 from the street. Head towards the left side of the building with the parking lot. Here you will find the main entrance.
Enter your PIN code at the keypad on the left that is on a pole in the artificial turf to open the car gate. Follow the arrow into the lot beside the building. (This is a one-way parking lot. You will exit out the back into the West Green Alley, where you can turn right or left.)
Please use the man gate on the right closest to the building to enter the property.
10 parking spots are available onsite. Additional parking is available at nearby parking garages on Second Street.
A Level 2 J1772 EV charger with a dedicated EV spot is available in the lot. Tesla owners can use their included J1772 adapter.
Building entry is on the first floor. Head through the West stairwell (left), the East stairwell (right), or either elevator door.
From the first floor, follow the West Stairwell down toward the basement.
At the bottom of the West Stairwell, this door leads into the basement level.
The basement corridor is The Provisions Hall. Follow it past the coffee station and vending. The speakeasy is hidden along this hall.

A full-size pool table anchors the game room. Cues and racks are on the wall.
A tournament-length shuffleboard table runs along the wall. Pucks and wax are on the table.
A long table seats your whole group for dinner, cards, or a meeting. The chef’s kitchen is steps away.
Your PIN code arrives with your reservation confirmation. Share it with your group so everyone can find their way in.
